Imaging Orion and the Horsehead Nebulas with a Canon DSLR on a cold southern California Winters eve 12/14/22 Using the William Optics Redcat 51 telescope on the Skywatcher Alt Az mount in EQ mode using a Canon 750d astro-modded DSLR with an l-extreme dual narroband filter. 59 minutes total integration with 1 minute lights and 10 darks. No autoguiding due to the short subs. Forecast was for partly cloudy skies, but as soon as I saw a break in the clouds I quickly brought out the rig to set up in the front side walk area near the garage. Lots of bright Christmas lights and light posts but still able to get decent subs and process out a nice looking result using Siril and Gimp. The gear that I used for this shot.
